We are learning about rocks in our local area. We went on a rock hunt arond our school grounds. When we got back to class, we learnt about the properties of rocks.
We used a programme called ZU3D to make a short animation of an earthquake shaking. We also tried erupting a volcano as well. It was great fun!
Ryan came into our assembly to give us all a talk about Young Carers and the role they play at home. He was very interesting and taught us all lots. We had a question time as well to answer any queries we had. Mrs Avis is also around if we need any questions answering.
We interviewed some children in our class that are young carers. We generated some questions for them to answer and talk about their experiences. This helped us produce some amazing logos and come up with one big one to go into the whole school competition.
We have been busy learning new passes in netball; chest, pass and bounce pass. We also learnt that we are not allowed to run with the ball and we have to pivot.
We read newspapers and looked for the features. We then played the role of a news reporter and pretended we had just arrived at a natural disaster and interviewed people. We then did some research on the internet of natural disasters around the world. We then had a go at writing our own report.
