Term 4 - 2021-22

Welcome to term 4

In PE we started swimming lessons. We have beed awarded with a Golden Achievement Award for good behaviour.

During Religious Education we practised a Mass ceremony.

We learnt about the different stages it goes through.
We had a go at collecting the gifts of bread and wine.

History
Understand how Native Americans lived.

During our history lesson we explored how Native Americans communicated.

We learnt that they used pictures to write stories and we had a go at writing our own.

World Book Day
Today we celebrated World Book Day!

We had lots of fun dressing up as our interesting book characters.
We searched for our favourite authors, quizzed and hunted for certain objects in our books.

We designed our own bookmarks so we never lose our page when we're reading stories.

Please have a look on our photos below.

Maths

We have begun learning about perimeters in Maths, and what better way than to measure the perimeters of objects in our classroom!

Our writing this week is based on George's Marvellous Medicine. We're going to be writing our own ridiculous recipes but first, we had a go at following George's!

We are learning about animals and humans in Science. To learn about our bones we made our own skeletons.

SCIENCE WEEK

To kick off science week we spent a whole day conducting an experiment. We investigated how far we could get plastic bottles to roll.  We talked about reuse, reduce and recycle plastic bottles.

In History we were learning about the importance of totem poles to Native Americans. We have had a go at designing and creating our own totem poles that reflect important people and things in our lives.
