Welcome to Year 5
What a busy first week we have had back!
REMINDER:
For this terms PE, we will be going Swimming. This will be on Tuesday afternoon. Please ensure the following is in school on this day:
- swimming costume/swim shorts
- towel
- goggles/swim hats (if needed)
- bag to keep it all in
We have enjoyed starting new topics in each of our subjects.
This term we are looking at mapping in Geography. We researched the difference between the United Kingdom, Great Britain and England, concluding its all to do with geographical terms and sovereign states. We have linked our house saints to the countries within the UK and had a brief look at what counties are.
ART, saw us learning about the surrealist artist, Salvador Dali.
In SCIENCE we became investigators - searching our surrounding environment for properties of materials. We then grouped them together.
