Welcome to Year 5 Term 1. We have an exciting term ahead of us.
We look forward to exploring our new class book - ‘Skellig’ By David Almond.
We will also be delving into the world of Andy Warhol to create our own masterpieces inspired by the artist, who became world-famous for using every day items such as cans of Campbells soup.
In Science, we will look at the properties of different materials and how they can useful to humans.
This is just a snippet of what we will be covering this term, check back here weekly to find out what we have been up to.
Where did that week go!
We have had such a hectic second week. We were very lucky to have the Family Trust come in to school to deliver a special assembly. We now have our new expectations displayed proudly in our classroom. We have completed a variety of assessments. Science has seen us experimenting with dissolving substances in different water temperatures and in Geography we have been finding out about where we live and our place in the whole world.
