During this term we are very lucky to have The Street Soccer Junior Academy coming into our PE lessons.
The academy offers school-based, football-led interventions. This will include: FA-qualified coaching, interactive and educational workshops and mentoring sessions. Using football as a link, they can inspire and engage the children to adopt a happier and healthier lifestyle. They will also help improve: self-belief, build confidence and resilience, higher aspirations, support their physical and mental health and well-being and develop skills and goals.
Scott and Ben, were our two champions, going head to head against all the other class in Key Stage 2 in this years Spelling Bee. They were absolutely amazing, with Scott being the overall champ! Well done to you two!
As a class, we were honoured to lead the Mass, celebrating St David. The Patron Saint of Wales, was a monk who was known for performing miracles.
During this mass we asked for his guidance and to give us courage as we embark on our own journeys.
We had an absolutely amazing day. We first joined all other schools in the academy online, with Tom Holloway, to find out what this years experiment will involve. Our brief was to find out which biscuit would be the best to dunk in a cup of tea. As you can see from the pictures below, we had so much fun testing out different types of biscuits with different types of liquids. It certainly was a challenge to not eat them!
In the afternoon, we met online again to showcase our results. We were very lucky to be one of the schools to speak about our results.
We spent a lovely lesson on comparing scripture with illustrations and really looking at each of their meanings in connection with our termly topic of Lent.
