Music

This term we have been practicing for our end of year Musical showcase. Year 3 have learnt the song ‘Tell me ma’ by Shamrock. The children have learnt to play some instruments and also a bit of Irish dancing! check out the QR code below to see our final performance.

The children have been learning to tell the time using analogue clocks.

Science

In Science, our topic this term is🪴 Plants. ðŸŒ±

 

The children have been looking at pollinators and discussing what type of plants most pollinators look for.

Corpus Christi - Year 3 Celebration of the word.

The children lead the Year 3 Celebration of the Word. Sending the message that Corpus Christi celebrates the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

RE

This term we have been learning about the religion of Islam. We had a visit from the Imam at Maidstone Islamic Centre.

Science

Carrying on with our plants topic we did a little experiment with some plants to see what would happen. We had a plant sealed in a bag being starved of water and air and one watered and fed in the open. We then added food colouring to the water in some fresh carnations to see what would happen.

Sports Day part 2!

The children took part in an Intrahouse Multi Skills second sports day today. All children were divided into their house teams and competed in events to score points. These events were Rugby Run, Rebound net, Hoop flip, Hockey dribble, Cricket Wicket, Dribble and shoot, Tick Tack Toe and Roller ball. Lots of fun was had and great team work was displayed by all.

History

In history this term we have been learning about World War 2 and the Battle of Britain. We looked at rationing and compared recipes from then to now. We also looked at the blitz, evacuations and built our own Anderson shelters.
