Many of you will be aware from recent news reports of the increased prevalence of Group A Streptococcus infection (including Scarlet Fever, & Impetigo) currently occurring in young people within the UK. Please be assured that most Group A Streptococcus illnesses are relatively mild.
The link below you will take you to a document full information and advice from the UKHSA (UK Health Security Agency) about Group A Streptococcus illnesses, including details of the early symptoms of these illnesses that you should look out for, together with advice on what you should do if your child becomes unwell with any of the symptoms.
As always, if your child is unwell with any illness, we ask that they remain at home until they are well enough to resume their normal activities.
